Everyone has their own idea of romance. Whether it's a fancy night on the town, a quiet dinner by the fire or a long walk in the woods, we each celebrate Valentine's Day in our own special way. Here are some images found on Pinterest that inspire my romantic side.
Paris any time of the year is to me the most romantic place on earth. But at Valentine's Day shrouded in a cover of fog with a fresh dusting of snow, could there be anything more romantic than this scene of the Eiffel Tower?
A quiet evening at home in front of the fire with a platter of cheese and a glass of gorgeous wine screams romance to me. And something any of us can easily recreate - fireplace or not. Just clear off the coffee table or ottoman, set out some candles and a gorgeous tray of artisanal cheeses and unusual crackers. Finish the platter off with some spiced nuts, some olives and a bowl of grape tomatoes.
Roses are the order of the day for Valentine's Day. But to me there is nothing more romantic than the peony with it's frothy blooms and it's heady scent.
There is something about a man holding a small baby. So romantic, so tender, so strong all at the same time.

An afternoon in an art museum followed by a walk in a park and topped off with a capuccino in the corner coffee stop is the perfect romantic afternoon to me.
What is your idea of romance? I would love to hear how you are spending Valentine's Day with your special someone.

You're right about that picture with the man holding the baby. What a great photo.
Gorgeous pins!
Your idea of romance is beautiful! Peonies are among my absolute favourite flowers. I think I have five tiny bushes in my tiny front yard. If I'm lucky, they'll all bloom this summer. Thanks for sharing your inspiration!
Your post is very romantic, I like the idea of dinner with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
The peonies are one of my favourite flowers as well, truly pretty! As for that Eiffel Tower shot, I'm hoping to get there this year and see it this summer if the budget allows ;-)
My idea of romance is spending it with my best friend, my husband of 49 years. Sharing dinner in Paris sounds pretty good too.
Happy Valentines's Day!
Rita
Oh sharing dinner in Paris would be my idea of the ultimate romantic Valentine's Day (with a snow ball fight after!)
Great Valentine's Day Pins! I'm looking forward to seeing the renovations on your 1935 Turdor... How exciting!
What a fun list!! So sweet and sexy. Our ideas about romance change a lot, so I guess I feel lucky to enjoy it many ways. We got a massage table recently, so........ xxx
@ Marie - I don't think I want to know what happens on the massage table!!
You had me at Paris! What a divine post. I just tweeted about it!
Thanks so much for joining in with my Pinterest Party!
Best wishes,
